USB7

Introduction

The USB7 is a 6 digit LED display, controlled by a USB virtual COM port.

The 6 digit 7 segment display bridges the gap between computer software and real-world display for occasions where a computer monitor isn't ideal. Other solutions to this problem involve the parrallel port or serial port, which are missing from many modern computers, and a variety of logic ICs, which can be daunting at first. Even other USB based solutions require surface mount soldering of a dedicated (and pricey) USB chip. The USB7 uses a single microcontroller to provide a reliable USB virtual serial port.

Details

Simple to use
